WeedSeeker®
Cut Weed-Control costs by up to 80%
Weeds drain nutrients and water from the soil reducing yield and profits.WeedSeeker® automatic spot spray system helps you save on chemical costs, cut down on time and labour, and reduce the
environmental impact of your field activities. WeedSeeker® automatic spot spray system is used to selectively apply herbicides to ‘weeds’, not bare ground and is highly effective wherever weeds occur intermittently. WeedSeeker® can also be used to selectively apply fungicides, insecticides, fertilisers and other inputs to targeted plants instead of ‘weeds’ in a range of applications. WeedSeeker® is being used in a wide range of applications including broad acre, pastoral and arable agriculture, horticulture and viticulture, as well as road, rail and right-of-way maintenance, airport runways, parking lots, parks and hiking trails.
Key Benefits:
- Reduce chemical costs up to 80%
- Eliminate manual spot spraying crews
- Reduce spray passes by combining with mowing or discing equipment
- Environmentally friendly
- Can operate both night and day
- Reduces spray drift
- Retrofits to existing equipment
- Helps reduce herbicide-resistant weeds
How WeedSeeker® works:
The WeedSeeker® system uses advanced optics and computer circuitry to sense the presence of a weed. When a weed enters the sensor's field of view, it signals a spray nozzle to deliver a precise amount of herbicide to that weed only. WeedSeeker® technology uses sensors and nozzles spaced at 300mm - 380mm apart. This is due to the narrower field of view associated with the WeedSeeker® sensors compared to a 500mm spacing on a standard boom.

WeedSeeker® Model 650
The WeedSeeker® Model 650 sensors operate on 12 volt, and are typically configured for a 300mm spray pattern matching its 300mm field of view. The 650 model is ideally suited for use in vineyards where sensors are mounted 455-760mm from the ground. Systems may have a single sensor or as many as 120 sensors mounted on a spray boom.
WeedSeeker® Model 655
The WeedSeeker® Model 655 sensors operate on 12 volt. They are typically spaced at 380mm apart, matching its 380mm field of view. The sensors operate at 610-760mm from the ground and typically have 60- 90 sensors or more mounted across the spray boom. The 655 model is used primarily in broad-acre applications due to the sensors being spaced further apart.
